Minnesota's Season Ends with a Disappointing Loss

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 112-97 in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals on Tuesday night, advancing to the Western Conference Finals with a 4-1 series victory.

Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 40 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds. Jamal Murray added 23 points, and Aaron Gordon had 16 points.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 27 points. D'Angelo Russell added 19 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns had 16 points and 14 rebounds.

The Nuggets dominated the game from the start, jumping out to an early lead and never looking back. They led by as many as 24 points in the second quarter and took a 60-41 lead into halftime.

The Timberwolves never could get anything going offensively, shooting just 39.8% from the field and 25% from three-point range. They also turned the ball over 15 times, which led to 18 Nuggets points.

The Nuggets, on the other hand, shot 51.6% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range. They also outrebounded the Timberwolves 46-33.

The Nuggets will now face the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals. Game 1 is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, in Denver.
